About HACKATHON 2019
DESCRIPTION:
The BH NDT Hackathon Series was started by BH Inspection Technology with one goal in mind: To develop opportunity and capability to make the invisible visible.
What started as a way for creators to connect and move their ideas forward turned into an industry evolution. No matter what the platform, the technology or programming languages used, innovators come from all around the world to join forces to elevate themselves and their platform to revolutionize the industry and it all starts with Hackathon.
CHALLENGE:
Five mandatory problems will be defined. Challenge yourselves and your entrepreneurial spirit to innovative without limits, and solve these industry problems.
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE:
Everyone is welcome. Great ideas stem from discussion, and we believe the best discussions are started by talking to anyone else whose background or experiences might be differed from your own. Therefore, we invite all startups, developers, entrepreneurs, and designers who are passionate about creating to join regardless of experience level, geographic location, or other factors.
RECOMMENDED ABILITY:
Knowledge in Image processing, AI, Big data analysis.
Programming skills with one or more languages like Python, C++, C#, Java, and etc.
RULES:
1. Fresh Code – We all start coding at the same time. It’s cool to work on designs beforehand, digital mockups, open source frameworks, and anything else available to everyone.
2. Code Review – Winning teams may be subject to a code-review at some point following the event or immediately before winning. This is to ensure that all code used is in fact fresh.
3. You may use any pre compiled open source and publicly available libraries. However any fresh code has to be written onsite.
4. Ownership and IP – You own your IP and whatever you create.
5. Team Size – No more than 4 team members.
6. Demos – Each team will have 5 minutes to demo the functionality of the project and talk through the idea, and 1 minute for Q&A from judges.
THREE CATEGORIES OF IMAGES ARE PROVIDED, AND DEFECT TYPES ARE DEFINED:
1. Void - Detect all voids with correct percentage in the provided images.
2. BGA - Detect all BGA balls
3. BGA void - Calculate void percentage for each BGA ball
4. Wire - Detect all wires in X-ray images
5. Wire Measurement - Calculate wire curvature, wire distance, distance between two wires

Registration Details :
i. Prize money for the winning team – 1.5L INR
ii. Overnight stay will be provided to all the participants that are not from Bangalore.
iii. Transportation fares(air/cab/rail/bus) will be reimbursed to all the participants at capped prices.
